Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Scope and Developer
This Privacy Policy explains how BMI Calculator (the “App”), provided by Qunovix Technologies (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the App. It applies to the App and not to third-party apps, stores, websites, or services that you may access from it.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App saves the following information locally using your device's application storage:
- age and gender selections;
- height and weight values entered into the calculator;
- height and weight unit preferences;
- the selected WHO or DGE classification standard and the adult-only setting; and
- language preference.
This information is used to restore your calculator and settings between sessions and calculate results on your device. The App does not create a user account, and we do not receive or store these values on our servers. You can reset calculator inputs in the App. You can remove all locally stored App data by clearing the App's storage in device settings or uninstalling the App.
3. BMI Results and Health Information
BMI values, classifications, estimated normal-weight ranges, and weight differences are calculated on your device from the information you enter. They are not uploaded to us. The App does not access Health Connect, HealthKit, medical records, sensors, contacts, photos, or precise location.
4. Google Mobile Ads
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to request and display banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically process information such as your device's advertising identifier and other device or account identifiers, IP address and IP-derived approximate location, App interactions, ad impressions and clicks, diagnostic information, and fraud-prevention information. The precise information processed depends on your region, device settings, the SDK version, and Google's configuration.
We do not send your entered age, gender, height, weight, BMI result, or classification to Google Mobile Ads as ad-targeting parameters. Google processes advertising information under its own policies. For more information, see:
- Google Privacy Policy;
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services; and
- How AdMob uses data.
Google states that information automatically collected by the Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. You can reset or delete the Android advertising identifier and manage available advertising choices through your device's privacy or advertising settings.
4A. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the App is used and to detect and fix crashes. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect information such as App installs and opens, screens viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device model, operating system version, language, App version, and an App-instance identifier (and, where permitted by your device settings, the advertising identifier). Firebase Crashlytics collects crash and error reports, which may include stack traces, device model, operating system version, App version, memory and storage state, the time of the crash, and an installation identifier.
We do not send your entered age, gender, height, weight, BMI result, or classification to Firebase as analytics events or crash data. This information is processed by Google as a service provider to us under its own terms; see Privacy and Security in Firebase and Google's Privacy Policy. You can limit this collection by resetting your advertising identifier or opting out of ad personalization in device settings, or by uninstalling the App.
5. Sharing, Reviews, and External Links
The “Share this app” feature opens your device's sharing interface with promotional text about BMI Calculator. The App does not automatically include your calculator inputs or BMI result in that message. Any app or recipient you choose may process what you share under its own privacy practices.
If you choose “Rate and review,” the App may open a store-provided review prompt or store listing. Google Play, Apple, or another applicable app-store provider may process account, device, and review information under its own privacy policy. External policy and About links open in your browser and are subject to the destination site's practices.
6. Permissions and Network Access
The App uses network access to load advertisements, send analytics and crash reports, and open online content or app-store services that you request. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, or precise location. Operating systems and bundled third-party SDKs may declare basic network-state permissions needed to provide their services.
7. How Information Is Used and Shared
Locally stored information is used to:
- calculate and display BMI-related results;
- apply the selected classification standard and measurement units;
- remember calculator values, settings, and language; and
- restore the App's state when you return.
We do not sell your entered BMI information. Information may be processed by Google and its partners to deliver, measure, secure, and prevent fraud in advertising and app-store services, and by Google (Firebase) to provide analytics and crash reporting. We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or security; however, we cannot disclose calculator inputs that we do not receive.
8. Retention and Deletion
Calculator inputs and preferences remain in local App storage until you reset them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. Information processed independently by Google, an app store, your browser, or a sharing destination is retained according to that provider's policies and controls.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App's local-first design. No device, network, SDK, or storage method is completely secure. Protect your device with an appropriate screen lock and keep its operating system and the App updated.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Standard adult BMI classifications may not be appropriate for children or adolescents. A parent, guardian, or qualified healthcare professional should supervise a minor's use. We do not knowingly collect children's calculator inputs on our servers.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You can change or reset calculator values and preferences, limit advertising personalization through device controls, clear local App data, or uninstall the App. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights concerning information processed by us or third parties. Because the App has no account and we do not receive calculator inputs, we generally cannot identify or retrieve those local values. For Google-controlled information, use Google's account, advertising, and privacy tools.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when the App, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will display a new “Last updated” date.
